FEBRUARY Market Details and Donations
Hello Friends,

This month celebrating Valentine’s love and Family Day play during frosty February were welcome distractions during a very challenging month.

January sales activity numbers declined with scarce inventory that pushed prices up 20 - 30% across all housing types compared to January 2021. (See Stats below) February brought strong offers from buyers and we expect the same for March as we prepare for the Spring market. Interest and tax rate hike talk, inflation, and potential tightening on investor requirements all threaten to quell the market yet lack of supply still dominates rising prices.

Throughout 2021 helping clients navigate the market propelled Sothebys’ International Realty to reach $204 billion in sales worldwide. We thank you for allowing us to make 2021 our best year yet securing our position once again as the #1 Brokerage in the world.

We want to end February on a charitable note. Nationally, Sothebys’ agents donated to local charity Jack.org created to empower young leaders to revolutionize mental health. We also support HART, in partnership with Women’s College Hospital, that assists victims of human trafficking. The Doorey Chu Team participates in these local charities.

Today we donated to the Red Cross. The Government of Canada is matching all donations to The Red Cross until March 18th to assist with the growing Ukrainian humanity crisis caused by war.

Wishing you all health, prosperity, and peace.

With love,
Lisa Marie, Linda, Lori and Cherry
