October and November Fall colours highlighted how fortunate we are to live in such a lush city. Then, overnight we landed in a snow globe mode.
The Fall market has been a little more predictable. Toronto home sales for the last three months, although half of the year-over-year (Y/Y) pandemic sale volume, have remained relatively stable.
New listings are at the lowest level we have seen since 1991 indicating that sellers are sitting on their properties and watching, particularly in the condo market where record-high rental rates enticed investors to hold onto suites. Buyers with less buying power are waiting for well-priced properties. We've seen the return of 'offer dates' with low listing prices to attract buyers.
We are working with buyers that want to get their future settled by year-end. Non-Canadian buyers facing the two-year ban on foreign ownership will also want to purchase in this calendar year so we expect a sales push in the coming weeks.
Check out our newest listing at 1 Balmoral Avenue, a Parisian inspired bright corner suite with 2 bedrooms at Yonge and St. Clair.
Enjoy a little more Parisian escapism with a tour of a prestigious apartment in Paris's Triangle d'Or, along with a moving video of Noel W Anderson in his Bronx studio as he weaves black history into modern tapestry for his Paris debut.
Sotheby's Fall Luxury report is included along with an article on Linda and Lisa Marie in Top Agent Magazine.
