Bayview Village is an affluent neighbourhood bordered by Finch Avenue to the North, Bayview Avenue to the West, Leslie Street to the East, and on the South by Highway 401.
Original homes were built mostly between 1954 and 1965, with a mix of bungalows and split-level homes. Today, there is a mix of original styled homes as well as large modern custom-built homes, and even mid-rise to high-rise condominiums.
The neighbourhood is surround by greenery and parks such as the East Don River Valley. There is also the iconic Bayview Village Shopping Centre which is aimed towards affluent shoppers of Bayview Village, Willowdale, larger North York area, and also the Bridle Path and Lawrence Park.
The boarders of Bayview Village are major roadways that give the neighbourhood a transportation advantage. From the 401, you are only 2 exits away from the Don Valley Parkway, allowing you to travel downtown with ease. Bayview Village also lies on the TTC subway line with walking distance to Bayview Station, Sheppard Station, and Bessarion Station.
Willowdale is a family-friendly neighbourhood in North York, Toronto. The neighbourhood is bordered by Finch Avenue to the North, Bayview Avenue to the east, Highway 401 to the South, and Bathurst Street to the West. Yonge Street runs down the middle of the neighbourhood.
Willowdale is home to many parks and landmarks, including North York Civic Centre and Mel Lastman Square. There is also access to the North York Central Library, Douglas Snow Aquatic Centre, and Empress Walk, a condominium with retail on the lower levels that includes a Loblaws and Cineplex, and of course a wide variety of shopping and dining outlets.
Many original houses from the 1940s were charming bungalows and side splits that have now been torn down and replaced by gorgeous luxury custom homes. The Willowdale area features a variety of lot sizes, which have welcomed many beautiful developments. Along Yonge Street, there is a large variety of styles of condominiums and townhomes.
There are three TTC Subway stations in Willowdale: Finch Station, North York Station, and Sheppard-Yonge station.
